How to fix your business listing on HERE maps
HERE supplies the maps inside most car navigation systems, as well as Amazon Alexa, Garmin and a long list of logistics and delivery platforms. A wrong address on HERE sends drivers to the wrong place even when Google is perfect. There is no owner account to claim; businesses correct their place through HERE's community map editor.
Edit the place in HERE Map Creator
- Go to mapcreator.here.com and sign in with a free HERE account.
- Search for your address, then turn on the Places layer so business pins appear.
- Click your business's pin. The panel on the left lets you edit the name, address, phone, website, categories and hours.
- If your business is missing, choose Add place, drop the marker at your entrance (not the middle of the lot) and fill in the details.
- Save at the top of the screen to submit the edit for review.
If you moved
For a short move, drag the existing place to the new entrance and update the address. For a move to a different street, add a new place at the correct address and mark the old one as closed. Do not simply retype the address on the old pin; the coordinates would still point at the old building.
How long it takes
HERE reviews community edits before they are accepted. The data NAPCHKR checks, HERE's Places API, usually reflects an accepted edit within a few weeks. Built-in car navigation updates far more slowly, often only with the next map release the manufacturer ships, which can be months. Submit the correction once, keep a screenshot, and resist re-submitting while it is under review.
Common problems
- Your edit was rejected. Edits that contradict other sources are often rejected. Make sure Google, your website and your signage already agree with what you are submitting.
- Two pins for one business. Mark the wrong one as closed or a duplicate from its edit panel rather than deleting it.
- Need a bulk fix. Businesses with many locations can supply data through HERE's business data programs; for a handful of locations, Map Creator is quicker.
Check it worked
When the change is live, run a fresh NAP audit. The HERE row should read Matches; if it still shows a difference after the review period above, open the listing from the row and compare it against your Google Business Profile. A ≈ next to a field means a small formatting difference the audit noted but did not count.
